Q: Describe these remembrance wreaths and when will they be placed on the gravestones at Fort Rosecrans and Miramar National Cemeteries.
A: The wreaths are handmade from balsam fir and come from northern Maine. Following the donation campaign, the wreaths are ordered and shipped to the cemeteries. Volunteers place the wreaths on the gravestones on December 18, 2021. The wreaths remain on the gravestones through the holiday season and are removed in early January.
Q: Where will the wreaths that are donated at www.SanDiegoHonor.com be placed?
A: Donors can request their wreaths to be placed at Fort Rosecrans or Miramar national cemeteries. Over 125,000 San Diego veterans are buried here.
